SilverSneakers January Trip

SilverSneakers® January Trip

The SilverSneakers®  January Trip will be to the

North Carolina Museum of History.

The North Carolina Museum of History is located in downtown Raleigh and features over 14,000 years and 150,000 artifacts of North Carolina History.

After visiting the museum, we will have lunch at the Pharaoh Café. There is no cost for this trip, but you will need to bring money for your lunch.

The trip is for anyone that is a Y Member! You do not have to be a part of SilverSneakers®

Monday, January 22nd or Tuesday, January 30th.

Register at the Member Services Desk for the day that works best for you.

We will leave the Y at 8:00 a.m. and will return by 4:00 p.m.

Family YMCA of Emporia-Greensville Senior Programs

The YMCA is open to people of all ages, but our senior members can enjoy special programs tailored to them!

The Silver Sneakers program entitles people with certain types of Humana or AARP health insurance to receive a free YMCA membership. Included in the membership is access to special Silver Sneakers classes offered four days per week. The classes are taught mostly sitting in a chair and focus on building range of motion and strength required for activities of daily living. In addition to the classes, we do senior socials and field trips throughout the year.
